and btw, anyone what to see what this bill was all about, look up the words Tort Refrom on wikipedia, and you will see this is a right wing thing, not “socialist goverment run heath care” as frankly it should have been,
btw, the public option should have put both medicard and medicare togerther, and expanded it as one major program run by the states but regulated by the federal goverment.
i didn’t celebate, it was good, but w/o the public option or single payer, it was useless and minimum to s/o like me thats wants universal heath care, and btw, i;m one of the few that doesn’t need heath care or face penaties undr the bill. I just hope now congress lifts the ban they have on UHC on a state by state bias, and allows states to do their own UHC one at a time to cover e/o they have, just like Canada did starting with Saskatchewan in the 60′s, with all provinces having it by 1984.
Once government takes over healthcare you will have replaced greedy, selfish corporations with greedy, selfish burocrats. Where’s the difference?
@chenalos I apologise that this is old, but work sucks, so busy
You say Obama never promoted the public option since election
huffingtonpost . com/2009/09/09/obama-health-care-speech_n_281265.html
Transcript and video of sept 09 speech to congress. He spoke on the issue multiple times.
Also, it was being called Obamacare before this issue was even a bill and even when the bills went against what Obama was advocating at the time.
Its not Obamacare, its simply a health reform bill.
So you’re only allowed to get sick once in your life. Right.
even if you find a lupoll, it doesnt mean you have to use it, you black hearted insurance salesman.
Well the dems say it was needed or the end of good health care would be upon us, the republicans said if passed the end of the world would happen, in reality it does some good things like allows parents to keep kids on policy until 25, no denials for existing conditions and tax credits for most to afford a policy, unfortunately most of these won’t go into affect for 4 years, so while they say it’s important the 4 years makes one wonder if this was just a victory to say they got a victory.
@TheUSMetalhead Then what is the point of this Bill?
@dlmac That rule was dropped after a public outcry, a great example of the power of the people when their government listens.
Nice work! Great vid!
@TheUSMetalhead I believe you are fined if you do not have a polity.
@TheUSMetalhead Not sure exactly what you mean by step 3, but I guess you are talking about price fixing. That will destroy the health industry. With no competition there will be very little development of new drugs or better technologies. There is a reason the US has THE best healthcare system, while not perfect, it is a leader in nearly all new tech and procedures.
@TheUSMetalhead step one can be done in the private sector. What about the new costs of all these people going in for test, in the name of preventative care, when they are fine. How do you know that will not be higher?
HA, a government controlled system with less excess administration overhead that the private sector. Give me a break, the only reason the private sector may have a lot of overhead is because of the gov. involvement. just get the out of the way.
@mainestategop Actually under this pathetic heath care bill and under a single-payer nobody is fined for refusing it. Get your facts straight.
3 things:
1.Early testing and treatments will prevent many from getting major or chronic diseases later in life, more than half of all medical costs go to treating preventable ills.
2.Ending administrative costs. 85% of this excess administrative overhead can be attributed to the highly complex private health insurance system, we spend 40% more per capita on medical expenses than anyone yet are rated low in overall care given.
3.Easy enforcement of generous but finite budgets.
Lead don’t follow
@mrpitchf0rk In socialism my friends family wouldn’t be able to be nearly as successful as they are now
@mrpitchf0rk I am still waiting for this definition of yours. I am sorry, but I did only list what the outcome of communism was, not the definition. but since I was talking about it’s outcome and features it seemed relevant to me.
@dlmac I /do/ wish to correct you, but you won’t understand. I know you won’t because you keep using “your definition” and don’t understand that there is a “the” definition of Communism.
@mrpitchf0rk This has absolutely nothing do to with the Republican party, nor am I a republican. What is your definition if you wish to correct me?
@dlmac Okay, you’re so deluded and biased that I really can’t stand to talk to you anymore. If you would stop letting the republican media forcefeed you their paranoid and dishonest propaganda.
@mrpitchf0rk What is your definition of Communism? In Communism the individual is a slave to the society, is made to do what the government sees fit. Does not own anything, the product of his labor is owned by the state.
@dlmac Wait, wait, since when is that a feature of Communism? I don’t think you know what Communism is.
@mrpitchf0rk it could not compete. The public option would fix prices lower then what it actually costs.
@mrpitchf0rk What exactly was successful about them? Let me get this strait, you think communism is a better form of running things then a republic or democracy? Giving all control to the government to make decisions for the individual?
@mrpitchf0rk We’ll agree to disagree on this one.
