If it was for a non-profit organisation then yeah itd be great, but I work in the industry and ultimately it is an exploitation of your emotions, knowing we can keep your attention and make sure you remember this ad. Its been carefully crafted and produced to elicit these emotions to ensure you sit through the ad and most importantly remember it so when you are looking for insurance companies, you’ll remember this ad and buy their products, And you’re ok with that?
@Starbuckiez Well, I am assuming this is a life insurance company. But imagine losing someone that dear to you. Someone you loved with all of your heart. After they’re gone, you have to comfort their family, and your family and deal with your own grief. And imagine just how devastating it would be to have to scrounge around for the money to bury them. I couldn’t imagine it. So I support this ad. I think it’s in the right mindset.
This is really sad and made me cry…but in the end it is an advertisement for a consumer product (insurance)…so I don’t know, is it ethical to exploit this situation for commercial gain? Great ad though.
