That is where you are wrong. Free speech does not say companies in the constitution. We are not worried anyway. Certain parts of Africa has billions, not millions, but billions. Humans run governments silly kid and the medical industry is over regulated by , yep, you guessed it GOVERNMENT.
Government in England has a quazimonopoly on healthcare. The government owns the hospitals (with a private option) and there is a private option for medical insurance. Result? Life expectancy is up. Infant mortality down, medical bankruptcies nonexistant, and costs (private, corporate and governmental) are much lower than the US.
There should be enough regulation to keep the bastards honest, but not too much, as that will bog down the system. Keyword: BALANCE. And America does not have it in banking or in medicine. The corporations have too much power.
You are objecting to government run universal healthcare? It works. It is cheaper, more effective, and does not cause medical bankruptcies.
